As an international young artist who studied in China, Australia, UK and U.S., Congcong Wu is interested in exploring the themes of culture, humanity as well as under-regarded and under-represented aspects of everyday life. Recently, she has been working with the idea of things that are overlooked, such as discarded objects and trash. To express her ideas, she uses many different media, ranging from paint, ceramics, print to installation and digital media. Congcong currently works with animation to express a sense of impotence in funny and playful ways. Through Congcong's detailed observations in various media, her work brings a joyful and absurd aspect to humanity and the overlooked aspects of everyday life.
