The paintings of Stavros Ditsios, are inspired by abstract expressionism, deeply symbolic in seeking answers to basic existential questions. The artist abolishes the realistic form, however keeps the content and transfers in his work his constant reflections of todays reality. The technology and its dead ends, man in relation to nature, life as a universal extension and the constant change in energy and creation, are some of the issues that are affected in his multileveled work.

It uses the motifs as points of contact with reality while on the other side he abandons any distinctive signs to hang and detach from anything tangible. The overlapping surfaces, the simultaneous use of prints and the use of multiple materials and tools, determine the painters technique. In 2009, Stavros Ditsios was chosen to exhibit his artwork in Biennale 2, in Thessaloniki, Greece curated by the State Museum of Contemporary Art.
In 2019, he was selected to exhibit an artwork of his in the London Art Biennale curated by Gagliardi Art & Partners in conjunction with the Chianciano Art Museum.
